Important facts about hydration, all you need to know!

Think of what you need to survive, really just survive. Food? Water? Air?  Naturally, I'm going to concentrate on water here. It is a natural resource that is required by every person to help satisfy our health-related needs. This includes our   body composition, mental focus, sleep and recovery . It is evident that water is one of the key elements responsible for human life on earth and is vital for our survival.  The amount of  water in your body  depends on various factors including age, gender, physical activity, and even where you live. It’s often referred to as Total Body Water (TBW). For example , infants are born with roughly 78% of their entire weight being water. By one year of age, TBW decreases to about 65% of the weight. In healthy adult males, TBW averages 60% of their weight because they generally carry more lean mass. On the other hand, women will see that roughly 55% of their weight is TBW.  Water is of major importance to al...

What is the C -section? Caesarean delivery (also called a caesarean section or C-section) is the surgical delivery of a baby by an incision through the mother's abdomen (belly) and uterus(womb). This procedure is done when it is determined to be a safer method than vaginal delivery for the mother, baby, or both. In a caesarean delivery, an incision (cut) is made in the skin and into the uterus at the lower part of the mother’s abdomen. The incision in the skin may be vertical (longitudinal) or transverse (horizontal), and the incision in the uterus may be vertical or transverse. A transverse incision extends across the pubic hairline, whereas, a vertical incision extends from the navel to the pubic hairline. A transverse uterine incision is used most often because it heals well and there is less bleeding. Transverse uterine incisions also increase the chance for vaginal birth in a future pregnancy. However, the type of incision depends on the c...

Amino Acids: Defination, Classifications ,benefits and food sources

An amino acid is an organic molecule that is made up of a basic amino group (−NH 2 ), an acidic carboxyl group (−COOH), and an organic  R  group (or side chain) that is unique to each amino acid. The term  amino acid  is short for α-amino [alpha-amino] carboxylic acid. Each molecule contains a central carbon (C) atom, called the α-carbon, to which both an amino and a carboxyl group are attached. The remaining two bonds of the α-carbon atom are generally satisfied by a hydrogen (H) atom and the  R  group Every amino acid also has another atom or group of atoms bonded to the central atom, known as the R group, which determines the identity of the amino acid. For instance, if the R group is a hydrogen atom, then the amino acid is glycine, while if it’s a methyl ( \text {CH}_3 CH 3 start a text, C, H, end text, start subscript, 3, end subscript ) group, the amino acid is alanine.  Amino acids and proteins are the buil...
